Project Manager – Investment Project (Ranua, Finland)

Reduciner is a Finnish deep-tech startup company driving innovation in carbon dioxide capture and utilization to support the circular economy. By transforming CO₂ emissions into valuable raw materials like renewable carbon monoxide (CO), Reduciner enables the production of synthetic fuels and chemicals for diverse industrial applications. The company’s process also generates high-quality activated carbon, creating additional value from the carbon utilization pathway. Reduciner plays a critical role in accelerating the transition to a low-carbon and sustainable future by turning industrial emissions into useful resources. 

Reduciner is building a first-of-its-kind continuous industrial process in Ranua, based on proprietary CO₂ reduction technology. In this process, carbon dioxide is converted into CO-rich synthesis gas using biochar, while producing high-value activated carbon as a co-product. 

This is a rare opportunity to take a leading role in bringing entirely new industrial technology from concept to full-scale operation. 

Your Mission 

As Project Manager, you will lead an investment project from design to commissioning and operational phase. You will operate at both strategic and hands-on levels, ensuring successful delivery from schedule, cost, and quality perspective. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Lead and coordinate the full lifecycle of the investment project 

• Manage collaboration with engineering partners, suppliers, and stakeholders 

• Oversee project schedule, budget, and risk management 

• Drive contract and procurement processes 

• Report progress to company leadership 

• Plan and execute commissioning together with the technical team 

• Lead and support the project team 

This role combines strategic leadership with practical execution. During the most active project phases, near-daily presence at the Ranua site is expected.

After successful project delivery, you will continue leading future investments and take on broader responsibilities. As the organization scales, the role can evolve into Project Director, overseeing multiple simultaneous projects and shaping Reduciner’s project execution model. 

What We’re Looking For 

• Relevant technical degree (e.g., engineering) 

• Proven experience in industrial investment or EPC project management 

• Ability to manage complex projects and multiple stakeholders 

• Strong communication and negotiation skills 

• Proactive, solution-oriented mindset 

• Startup minded team player

• Fluency in Finnish and English
